About Word of Mouth Care
Word of Mouth Care was first established in 2008 by founder Brenda Mckenzie who, concerned that the care industry was focused on figures and finances, wanted to use her experience to provide services that met the needs of people and their families.
She started with just one client - providing companionship and friendship for Malcolm Knight, an elderly gentleman living with dementia.
The positive feedback from his family and the sense of purpose she gained gave her the confidence and belief to further develop her desire to provide a service focused on person-centred care.
As more and more recommendations came in (literally by word of mouth), Brenda was joined by her three daughters, Ebony, Jasinya and Makeda who have each brought their own expertise and experience to the company.
