Our Homecare Services
Our person-centred approach means that these services are not ‘off the shelf’ but are tailored to the individual client - ensuring they maintain their independence and dignity to remain happy, healthy and safe in their own homes.
As a general guide, here are the different support packages that we offer – all of which are adapted to suit each person’s changing needs:
Personal support
This is by far the most popular of our care packages and covers the wide spectrum of personal care from helping our clients get up, washed and dressed in the morning to ensuring they have meals prepared for the day. Personal support packages undoubtedly change with time and we are flexible to our clients’ needs such as ensuring that those who become bed-ridden are comfortable and clean with their personal care needs met.
Domestic calls
Housework can become a huge chore for people. We undertake light cleaning and other jobs such a laundry to enable our clients to maintain a clean and tidy home without the worry of doing the tasks themselves.
Chaperone service
This service is perfect for people who find that they have had to give up driving or who cannot, for whatever reason, take themselves where they need to go. This service will allow people to complete errands safely such as shopping or trips to the doctors with the support and companionship of a trained, friendly and supportive professional.
Companionship calls
This is often the most important aspect of our work sometimes without the person realising it. Loneliness can have a hugely damaging impact on a person’s physical and mental well-being so stopping by for a coffee and a chat can be just the tonic that people need. This is particularly in demand for people whose families do not live close by and we can also alert families if we have other concerns.
Overnight calls
Concerns about people waking up disorientated and requiring care and support is one of the major concerns for families – particularly when their loved one has just returned home from hospital; on their end of life journey or living with conditions such as dementia.
A team member therefore stays throughout the night to tend to the persons care and support needs.
Medication calls
These are short calls, designed for people who may not be managing their medications efficiently but do not require any other support. We also offer a prescription collection service.
Palliative Care
Supporting individuals on their end of life journey is particularly traumatic for everyone concerned and our calm and professional approach to dignified palliative care is something that we know is particularly valued by individuals and their families.
The nature of palliative care means that additional support often needs to be arranged at very short notice and we ensure we have the flexibility to provide whatever care is required.
